Your dress turned out great! You were smart to leave that extra layer off. You actually still have a waist in your version. LOL. Your knit suggestion is a good one. Hmmm.... I have lots of knit fabric....

Greeat review! Great dress! You look super in things cut to accent the true waist. I agree about the knit thing, too. And extra fabric at the waist?? Not what ANY of us want! :) Great job.

I wondered if it was a knit. I do love that floral too, and I've had the same issue with the Butterick skirt being too short. Thanks for the review, I keep eyeing this pattern, Nice to know where the glitches are.

Eve, that's a gorgeous dress! So feminine and you've matched the waist fabric so well! I think the contrast light olive green really adds oomph and shape to the dress.
