Your outfit is very nice. I found your review very informative also. I think this could be really nice in a knit and should become a tnt top for you.

This turned out very very pretty. Love your fabric choice too. I wonder what treatment you did to the hemlines...so nice in dark red.

Your top and skirt are very pretty indeed. The buttons pick up the colors in the fabric beautifully! Great job and thanks for the review!

SewVeryTall, thanks for reminding me. Since wooly nylon is no longer available in my area, I used a polyester thread recommended by my local sewing repair shop that is made by Robison-Anton Textiles. I used it to do a rolled hem and the result looks a bit like a crocheted edge. I'll post a picture. Thanks you all for the positive feedback.

I have this same pattern in my stash and after seeing your top, I am going to pull it out and see if it will work for me. You have a very nice outfit and I love the green top too!

Cathy: that outfit looks great on you. Congratulations on successful alterations. I know they can be challenging but you did a great job and it was worth the effort. Love that fabric and the buttons are fabulous, aged to perfection. :-)

Cathy, very pretty top - love the buttons, too. This pattern is in my stash. Good to know that it works in a plus size. Re: enlarging the abdomen. Have you seen Sandra Betzina's adjustment for a full abdomen? She uses a series of L-shaped cuts in the bodice to enlarge the stomach area without adding to the bust or under the arms. This tip used to be on-line on the Get-creative website. I'll see if I can find it and post a link. Sue

I have the same pattern and have made it only 1x...only wore it 1x also...b/c of the type of material being more reminiscient of an Easter outfit than anything

Cathy, I've missed your reviews so much. I learn from you sewing every time. The hemline treatments is super for such fine fabric. It's hard to keep hems from showing through, your solution is perfect. You've done a wonderful job on the FBA and the fit is perfect. I really like the fabric and trim on the second top you made. What will you wear with it?
