Mary, the back view really tells the story! That area is so hard to fit, and your pants fit you beautifully there.

What a great pair of pants. I have been a little afraid of the pattern, knowing I have to drop the front waist. Thanks for your great advice. Your pants fit so beautifully, especially in the back.

Mary, the back of your slacks are perfect! This is the fit that I have been trying to achieve for a long time. I've done Sandra Betzina's tops before and I've been very pleased, and now I've got to try these pants. Very helpful review. Thanks.

Great fitting pants! They look terrific on you. The waist looks like it sits exactly where it should on you, so your alterations must have been spot on. I really like how kitty showed us his/her back view, too. ;-)

Mary, great review! However you've confirmed that I am "Mature Mutant" - I've been waiting for my backside to flatten for a long time and it just has happened yet!. I did promise my Mom a pair of pants though and her figure matches the SB view of mature - I think this will be a great style for her. Thanks again!

Mary, These look terific on you! I have this pattern but I never made it because I thought it would not fit...but from your review it seems like it will fit my body type just fine. your review is VERy helpful. Thanks for Sharing!

Mary, the pants fit perfectly. You did a wonderful job. The back view is wonderful! I think Sandra's patterns really nailed it for women over thirty who have borne children. I've made this up in raw silk (with 7022 matching jacket) and it turned out beautifully, but I omitted the pockets because of my tilted waist. Will have to make another pair now. Thanks for the great review.

Thank you for the review! I was so hoping that someone would review it. I just got this pattern lastweek, I'd had the SB jeans pattern but wanted something a little less adventurous since I need to adjust for tilted waist.

Thank you,MaryT. I have had all the doubts about pants with a fitted waist that you have- now I'll give them a go. Thank you so much,esp. being brave enough to give front and back views-I would be a chicken! PS Your cat looks so lovely- have been without my beloved tabby,Jasmin, for 18 months.

Thanks again to everyone for all the nice comments. Aless, you must get you a new sewing kitty! I am so happy to have a pair of pants without an elastic back!! It's nice to know I can make them elastic back if I want, though!

Wow Mary -- the pants fit great, but that back fit is just superb! Great job of customizing this pattern. I have it, but I haven't tried it yet. Make yourself lots more of these!

Sandra has you do the waistband in that manner so it is easier to alter in the future if you have to take it in or let it out. You don't have to remove the entire wasitband, just take out the stitching at the side seams instead.
