Sorry you wasted your time & material on this pattern.

Bless your heart! I'm sorry this didn't work out. I loved mine (although you are right on the crotch being too long)... But I do agree I don't see my daughter wearing these.

Bummer, these didn't work! I know the crotch length runs long, because I DIDN'T have to lengthen mine, and I ALWAYS lengthen the crotch on my pants. (I'm 5'8".) You should check out Burda's patterns. They have a plus-size line designed for the younger wearer that I bet you'd like. Matter of fact, I'm not "younger" by any stretch of the imagination, but I buy them all the time. In fact, my favorite pair of "morph" pants is two Burda patterns combined. Their patterns are very well designed, too, as far as the crotch curve, the cut of the leg and, on jackets, the armholes, sleeve caps, etc. They're my favorite patterns. They run smaller than American-made patterns, so just check the size and you'r ready to go. You can find them at thesewingplace.com if a fabric store near you doesn't carry them. Happy sewing! I'm working on a jacket as we speak. :o)
