| lace | 9/28/07 | What a pity that it did not work out. The pattern looks so nice. |

| ladylola | 9/28/07 | Poplin is hard to ease! Maybe another fabric would have been more succesfull??? Maybe you could try to reduce the sleeve cap ease a little bit? Sandra Betzina has instructions on how to do this in "Fast Fit". Or maybe just try another pattern! And enjoy the process once again! |

| Donna H | 9/28/07 | Bummer it didn't work out! Try ladylola's suggestion of another fabric. Has anyone else reviewed this and gotten good sleeve cap results? Again, bummer, but thanks for reviewing it...AND mentioning me, eh? :) |

| clin | 9/29/07 | Rhonda in Montreal - So sorry this did not work out for you but wonder if the choice of fabric had anything to do with the problem with the sleeve? It looks like a nice pattern so perhaps you can try it again - Carolyn in Ontario without the "eh" LOL! |

| HeathersMom | 9/29/07 | Make it again! Is it possible to save this jacket? It looks as if you are almost done and so far it looks great to me. Thanks for the review! |

| moushka | 9/29/07 | Rhonda, Such a cute style. Can you re-cut the sleeve to take out some of the ease? Take out the sleeves, press. Press the sleeve pattern piece and slash vertically in two places on either side of centre dot to hem S/A. Overlap each slash one-quarter the amount you need to remove from sleeve cap to eliminate gathers. Tape slashes. Re-cut sleeve. Insert new sleeves. Clear as mud? PM me and I'll walk you through it, if you're not sick and tired of the whole project. It will look so pretty when done. Soft hug, Sue |

| supermollio | 10/5/07 | I'm sure there are more technically correct ways to do this, but my sewing instructor suggested just lopping off part of the sleeve cap if it won't ease in without wrinkles. You just cut off a crescent shape at the top of the sleeve cap--for my dress, I took about 1/2 inch at the center of the sleeve cap, tapering to nothing about 1/5th or 1/6th of the way down to the bottom of the sleeve cap. Worked like a charm! I think it works out to the same thing moushka suggests, but you eyeball it, rather than measuring and slashing, which I find so daunting. I'm just not technically (technique-ly) talented enough to do things the right way! |

| Rhonda in Montreal | 10/6/07 | Thank you for everyone's encouraging words!! I think I'll leave this pattern alone for now & learn more from it again. In the meantime, I'll try to have a "better success"!! |

| CharityAK | 11/8/07 | A jacket is an ambitious undertaking for a beginner. I love it when folks have the courage to just jump in and try! You'll go far with your attitude. I know you'll have success in time. Keep at it! |
