So many plus patterns are designed to be extremely loose so that you can end up using a smaller size than what your measurements say. This one looks like it's more fitted and which is probably why it seems so tight, unless there's a mistake in the pattern itself. It's a nice pattern and if you want some help in getting it to fit, don't hesitate to ask on the message boards!

I think your shirt looks nice as a jacket and very slenderizing. Thanks for the info as I have this pattern in the stash. I will definitely add some extra for fitting when I sew it.

I should have read your review before I started sewing this pattern. I'm having the same problem that you had. It runs small and I've had to let out the seams all around and it's still tight in the tummy area. I don't think this is a good pattern and may abandon it altogether.
