Pretty. You could cut the back piece where you want the color blocking to be, add seam allowances and you'd get the yoke you wanted, easy peasy.

I also made this dress - in solid black. I made one size smaller because finished garment measurements were large. It was still huge so I took it in about one inch on each side. My husband thought it looked like a choir robe. It looks much better with a belt.
