AnneMarie60 said... This is gorgeous. I have been trying to make a thin-knit top. Can you please tell me more about the Design Plus Super Fine fusible bias stay tape? I have never sewn on knits before, and I have had a devil of a time so far. If anyone can offer advice, please email or PM me. Thanks! 11/14/07 9:21 PM

You don't do any reviews for skirts or pants - do you have TNT patterns that you use over and over and put your creative energy into the tops and jackets? 11/14/07 9:49 PM

Debra H said... Some questions to answer. First, you can get Design Plus stay tapes of all types from www.thesewingplace.com under Notions, but I think Clothilde and some other places also carry it. Be sure you get the Super Fine Bias. I like it even better than clear elastic for stretchy knits. You also could cut Touch of Gold II or Dream Weave into bias strips. The non-bias is good for non-stretch fabrics that need reinforcement in weak areas.
Second, I rarely do sew pants or skirts. My job rarely gives me a chance to wear skirts or dresses. I pretty much stick with basic well-made pants in brown, black, olive, tan, taupe and a few other colors because I usually do let the jackets/tops be the star...and most slacks that look best on me are pretty boring. However, I am having trouble finding a coppery brown color that I need so will be making a lined pair in a few weeks. Looking at using a Betzina pants pattern. 11/14/07 11:00 PM
