I have this book and you're right, it's full of great ideas. I love your skirt! I was concerned about the no dart thing myself, and wondered how in the world you could make a skirt without darts! Do you like the fit in the waist now? I would love to try the grosgrain finish I've read about so much, but no one sells Petersham here. Did you use regular grosgrain or petersham? If you used regular, how did it work for shaping around the curves? Thanks for the review.

Nancy, I do like the fit in the waist. It's easy enough to make darts--I don't think I will even try it without. I get my petersham from judithm.com, millinery supply. I have heard regular grosgrain would not work for the shaping. I actually should have used the term petersham instead of grosgrain. Good luck!
