Could be cutsie mom & daughter t's. ---Just curious, where did you purchase the foldover elastic, and what method did you use to apply it? I've been interested in trying the foldover elastic in a neckline application like yours, but I haven't seen much but white and black. Yours is such a pretty color. ----Great sewing!

Mbarkle said... thanks, everyone. MaryBeth, yes I'll just cut off the ribbing and apply another piece, cutting it off will make the hole bigger. Rhonda -- it's a good deal if you do a lot of children's sewing. I have used 5 or 6 patterns from the issue. Debbie, this FOE came from a coop. Email me for details. I use a regular zig zag, you can use a 3 step too. Cut it 1 or 2 inches shorter than the neckline and stretch it very slightly while you apply it. Takes a little practice. 4/18/03 1:25 PM

Debbie Spriggs said... Thanks, Mary, I'll e-mail you. I've had good luck using clear elastic in necklines, but I like the colorful possibilities with this application. 4/18/03 1:40 PM
