The shirt looks really good. I have this pattern in my stash (as I got it on sale) and now I'm encouraged to make it up soon. It's good to hear the pieces went together well. Good luck with the Batik version.

Your blouse is beautiful. I really like the fabric choice. It looks like an expensive RTW to me.

Shona, I wore my version of that shirt just yesterday, glad to get out of winter clothes and into "transitional" pieces. Mine is a very heavy linen, now a quite faded black, and that, too, hangs really well. I used my usual size, and it's rather long (I'm 5'6")--in this weight fabric, I'd never tuck it in, but rather wear it as a loose jacket. I agree that the directions are pretty good, for the most part, but I made this several years ago so I don't quite remember--I guess I never really liked how the collar came out, but that could have been operator error. And thanks for the tip about snaps! I must have missed that, too, or just never remembered to go back and do it. I wonder if it's too late?!
