Had to go check your profile real quick and see where you lived. AHA. Explains it. Don't think I'd see much use for this here in Texas, but the colors and fabric are great. Who knows..I might be forced into cold weather again!

These sort of close-fitting hats are also useful under a bicycling helmet in the winter.

SewLil, The book has a variety of patterns in it. This hat only came in adult sizes but is super easy to modify. There are several kid-sized patterns too although not for this particular pattern. The patterns are printed at the back of the book and some of them are pull-out pages. The lycra binding and fabric came from my favorite fabric store: Three Sisters Boutique here in Anchorage.
