What a coincidence: I was admiring this very skirt on the BWOF website, and clicked back to PR to find your review of it. After reading your review and seeing the wonderful result, I'm definitely planning to make this one! I imagine your daughter will love it--the style is unique. And, as you say, she could easily make this even more so by pairing it with some colored tights and boots.

Thanks for a great review! I have wanted to make this skirt ever since I got my BWOF magazine a week ago. I've been searching for the metallic crinkled poplin they suggested. I'm a bit scared of the topstitching myself!

Great job Birgitte! I was just looking a this skirt. What stitch did you use for the top stitching? It looks a bit different from a straight stitch (or may be I am seeing something that is not there, LOL).

Thanks for all your comments! Sewingfluffinator (I love that name), it's just a regular straight stitch set to length 3 instead of the pre-set 2.5.

So cute. I noticed this style too and thought the belt was such a great touch. Lucky daughter! My mother never sent me anything while I was in boarding school! She's going to love it.
