Cute skirt! I just made a skirt from this pattern last week:) I like how you made a facing for it. The knit binding is a good idea too. Did you try pressing the cordorouy on the wrong side only? I bet you could sew a size 6 or 8---check your hip measurement. You might find it worth your time to pick up the right size at a $1.99 sale (soon since it's OOP). The proportions will be a little smaller
