the fur trim looks very cool! Threads Magazine has a current article (March 2008) about cutting sleeves for tailored jackets on the bias; although the stripes on this fabric would be quite conspicuous, perhaps that would help in other cases...

I prefer two piece sleeves as well. I do hope that you get some enjoyment out of this though. The trim looks really nice.

I'm sorry this did not work out well for you. You do have a point about a two-piece sleeve. Better quality RTW usually features that detail too. The jacket does look nice. Hopefully you will get some use from it.

Totally agree with your comments re 2 piece sleeves. However, I hope you wear it anyway since it looks great (any chance of a picture of you in it???)

The thumbnail photo is a little small to see the entire jacket, but it sounds very smart and attractive. I like the faux fur trim, too. Thanks, Lily

Upon review of the jackets in my wardrobe, I like 2 pc sleeve as well. But none of mine has fur trim. Yum. Great job

Is it only the sleeves you didn't like? Was there anything else wrong with the pattern. I liked your jacket.

I don't know why they have one piece sleeves in jackets - I always look for the two piece as well. The way you have used the fabric is very attractive. Looking forward to seeing the pants!
