pamela thickens said... This is very, very adorable. I rarely sew with Vogue patterns anymore,as I've been confused with their directions abd dissapointed with fit. I much prefer Kwik Sew and Burda. If there are two different ways to sew the same item,Kwik Sew seems to take the direct route and their pattern pieces fit together. Kwik Sew pattern pictures are uninspiring, but they always look better sewn. Thanks for the review. 5/7/03 9:40 PM

Mbarkle said... thanks everyone. I wrote this review while a million people were yelling for food and interrupting my train of thought (typical day). Meant to add that the front and back crotch did not line up when I was finished. Check this before you add the band for the snaps (well, actually check it while you are hemming and save yourself unpicking). Also, this is my first effort at picture smocking. I smocked it back in Feb. while my dd had pneumonia and was home from school lying on the couch requesting my company. I haven't tried much hand work, but find that is a relaxing occupation. Pamela, I think my problem is that I'm spoiled from KS patterns. They are too good. ;) Jules, LOL, the inside has a race car print (I am too ignorant to know which type -- Indy, NASCAR, or something). Ds loves cars more than anything, so I knew I had to do this one. My dh hates clothes like this (prefers the junior adult looking stuff) but ds is my last baby and I'm dressing him like one, at least until he has an opinion on these things. Dh would have hated it more if it had bunnies or teddies instead of macho race cars (also note I made the drivers multi culti). 5/8/03 8:59 PM
