Thanks for the review and mention of the odd straight leg opening in the back piece! I've been considering this pattern for myself, but while I don't mind low-rise, I *do* want sufficient coverage on my backside that will stay put, not turn into an all day wedgie. ;)

What a helpful review! The undergarments you made look great. Thanks for the warning about "coverage" and showing the changes you made for a more modest fit.

I made a jalie leotard for my DD before and had the same problem with the back coverage. I also added more to it. Great review. I like the bra top. Would be a great pattern to have for preteens and those little girls who think they need a bra!

Custom panties, how wonderful. As a kid, I remember having a perpetual 'wedgie' and hating the darned things. No such problem for your little one. They're lovely. -Lily

Thanks everyone. The altered panty is a hit! The rise is still fairly low but I'm okay with it The butt coverage is right on!

I just came back from your blog and loved it. Thanks for this review. I've been considering it for my daughter since she just started wearing training bras. She hates them, but likes this style. I have a panty pattern from Kwik Sew and it does have a bigger curve under the bottom, very much like the one you drafted.

Your curve is definitely a better way to go..

Very cute undies! Thanks for the info about the low-rise..I've been eyeing this pattern for a while but wasn't sure of the rise on the undies.

Those are very nice! I just bought this pattern and look forward to using it. I liked the bra for my DD, too. Thanks for the tip on the panties. My daughter has some "junk", too! ;)

They all came out so cute!! I always make that same "round rear" alteration, LOL-I can't see that original line being very comfy! Thanks for all the extra pictures, they were really helpful! I may have to add this to my wish list :o)

Very nice review! I have made the pattern for myself in a plus size (DD), and have added that same curve. I'm glad to see that it's not just me, but even little girls. I was wondering who would fit that straight-lined back piece. The curved piece just looks nicer and higher quality (i.e. better fit).

Great detailed review. Thanks! I was wondering where you found the nice 1" foldover elastic. I was having trouble finding good quality one for this patter, which I have traced, but not sewn yet. Thanks!

I got the FOE from a co-op a few years ago. I died it it with RIT. This is 1" which I think is too wide but really easy to work with. I would try ebay for different colors and a smaller width.

Thank you for your review. I have made a mock of this pattern and I found the butt skimpy as well. Thanks for the pattern adjustment tip and the zig zag stitches look nice as well. It gives me confidence on using my zig zag without the use of the overlock...
