One year when we were doing our Christmas cantata (in our polyester satin blouses and our polyester cardboard wrap-around, Velcroed skirts) we were all traipsing up the stairs to go to our appointed spot on the bleachers, when one of my fellow tenors stepped on the hem of her skirt and OFF it came! She didn't miss a beat though, just grabbed it up and kept heading up the stairs as she re-fastened it. I remember thinking, geez, look how good she looks even WITHOUT her skirt -- ha! On that skirt, I extended the underlap clear over to the side seam, stitched it to the side seam all the way down the length of the skirt, added MORE Velcro AND a button to the inner waistband. Now my skirt CAN'T fly open, and hopefully I won't lose it completely. I guess I made it into a mock wrap, now that you mention it. At any rate, your dress is lovely! 2/21/08 5:26 PM

I have this pattern and regularly, take it out to stare at it, wondering if I can get a wrap to fit and then, to obey. You have convinced me that a top and skirt will better suit my needs, though I may have to copy your beautiful magenta RPL. Thanks a million, Lily 2/21/08 6:58 PM
