"After I have a number of bras under my belt"... *snicker*... sorry, couldn't resist...LOL. I don't think many people tackle bra making, I am so impressed! I've heard a lot about Anne St. Clair and it is nice to read another favorable review. Nice work!

Terrific job. I'm a standard size, but I'd love to make my own bra, too.

Thanks for the wonderful review. Your bras look great. I have a couple of questions. Do you feel that the bras you made give you as much support as quality bras that you would purchase? Also, now that you have three under your belt, about how long does it take to make one? Thanks!

Michelle, thank you for doing this review as it's the first I've heard of Anne St. Clair. Your bras look fabulous and yes ... ah ... finally ... pretty bras. It does my heart good just to see yours. Lovely, Lily

I was fitted by Anne at her store and have made myself 2 (so far) and my daughter 2 (so far). She is always only a phone call away -- the most helpful person I have ever met. Even though I didn't take a class (I was in Wichita catching a plane and swung by while waiting), her book was fabulous and I never felt at a loss. Because she fit me, I knew that what I was making would fit perfectly. In her sizing system I'm a 36G (I bought 34C at the stores.) Although not "huge" by any means, I can tell you I look MUCH better in the bras I made than in the store-bought ones. My daughter (who is a developing 32B) won't wear anything else, either. She also has pattern pieces and instructions in her book on how to make support slings partial slings for someone in sports (who wants cups and not the uniboob look.) Excellent, excellent, excellent!! I cannot recommend her pattern and book (and kits, too) more highly!

Sewing, these bras actually feel more supportive than my RTW bras in that I don't even *think* about wearing them--my back isn't sore at the end of the day, etc. I think that whether or not a bra is supportive has to do with how well it fits--and these fit me very well, since Anne did the fitting as part of the workshop. (She seemed pretty open to helping fit people via phone or email, if having her fit you in person isn't an option.)

It's so wonderful to be able to sew your own bra's. Great you have such positive experience. I've been doing it for a few years now, and it's very addictive. I'm difficult to fit and have no rtw bra's in my drawer anymore, besides a sports-bra, that I want to copy sometime soon. You got great result.

Very impressive! I've never thought about making bras before. I'm another one that is curious about how long it takes.

Missed this review earlier - Beautifully done. The comfort level achieved is something I suspect many women have missed - my sister-in-law is lining hers with fine Pima cotton. Enjoy!
