What a great skort! Its going to be so useful to you for workwear. I definitely think you need to try some wild and crazy prints.

I don't wear skorts, but if I did, the one you made would be the one I would want to wear. It really looks good.

Thanks so much for reviewing this workout skort pattern! I've had it in my stash since it came out since it looks just like the cute $50 skorts from Runningskirts.com and Title 9 (which I am WAY too cheap to buy), but I've been hesitant to try it since it's my first Jalie. I don't own a serger, but I may give this a shot soon anyway with my conventional machine. I live and workout (weights, running, inline skating, misc. gym cardio machines) in central Florida, so this is a pattern I could use year round. Heck, given how casual the dress code is at my office (we make video games), this could easily become a wardrobe staple. It seems to provide more coverage than most of my workout shorts without looking bulky, too, which is a huge plus in my book.

Thanks for this review. Your skort looks great and it suits you really well! I'm actually working on a skort (with compression shorts) at the moment. I'm at the step where you need to sew the waistband and I'm just amazed how small the waistband is - way to small for my waist, and believe me I have a waist! So to read that you have increased the waistband size comforts me... ;-) I'm off to cut the biggest size right now!

Very cute skort. If anyone has tried this for a tennis skirt, please let me know. I'm wondering if you can tuck a tennis ball into the pant-leg. the pocket looks to small to hold a ball.
