Mary Beth, What a fun spring/summer suit! I've seen Sandra Betzina's Power Sewing Book and have been thinking about adding it to my collection, there are some neat tips in there and I have to agree, many times improvisation is in order when instructions do not sound quite right and most of the time pattern instructions do not have the finishing ideas in them which will lead to a more professional look. I am thinking that if the skirt was lined just to the top points of the godets this would provide a better 'hang' to it. Sometimes even partial linings or a shorter slip really works to advantage, something to think about and which is mentioned in Claire Sheaffer's book on Couture Sewing-at least as it applies to jackets!

Very nice, Mary Beth. I love sewing godet skirts. I like both of the skirts in the photos.
