I love your willingness to experiment with old and new fabrics, with the lace inserts and with the fit. It looks wonderful, wonderful on you. Very nice review too. And how lucky to inherit fabrics.

Very pretty blouse, loti, with the green linen and the lace inserts. Although a lot of work, the value of your underlining is quite evident. This will be a strong component of your Mini Wardrobe. Good luck in the contest. -Lily

Well, I can't believe this. I've got this pattern, and I never even NOTICED the top until I saw your fabulous creation here. So FLATTERING, the way you've designed it with the lace insets. I'm unashamed to say I'll be copying you at some point along the line. :o) This top really flatters your figure.

I really like your top Loti. What a lovely, vibrant colour choice. I can just imagine how great that will look with a black suit. I really like the painting in your photo stream too. Thanks for sharing with us

Hello Ladies, Thanks for the support, I haven't sewn anything in a really long time, and you all inspired me to start again!! I am really excited about getting back into it, considering things are expensive in the stores, and they rarely ever fit properly. I look forward to continuing!

What part are you using recycled, and what part is new? I can't tell so you have matched them very well.

The blouse was cut out of the skirt portion of the dress. The skirt was cut out of an extra piece that my mother had left over from the project. I still have the top of the dress, and I want to see if I can convert it into a body suit (the bottom to be made of another fabric).

Very interesting! Love the trim, and it will go great with your black jacket.

This style of top and skirt is a favorite of mine for summer work wear. I love the way you used the lace on the top. It makes it really unique.
