Lisa, the smocking probably took 18-20 hrs -- this is my 2nd picture smocking project, so I'm slow. I love having something to do while I'm watching the kids swim, etc. It's actually a pleasure -- I'm rediscovering handwork, something I last did as a Girl Scout 30 yrs ago. ;)
