I did do the horizontal folds and I put them in before the pleats because I did not think I could get them even after the skirt was already made. I did make my skirt less casual. It is liberty cotton with silk duponi ties and waistband. I think the banded skirt would also be cute. It is alot of work, you were right about that, but I like it. 5/12/08 0:57 AM Athene said... I just pulled out this pattern to make the skirt for my DD in a batik cotton which has a lovely border on one selvage side.
