Lovely suit Mary. I was just about to buy the same pattern, but am wondering about your troubles with the clear elastic. Does the pattern suggest using the clear, or did you do this so the straps wouldn't be so thick? DD is very picky about how her bathing suits fit and look, having a terrible time finding RTW. Let me know what you think about using regular swim suit elastic in straps. I'll wait before I buy this pattern to make sure it's worth while.
