Mudcat, I'm working on this top now and I'm having problems with the neck as described in the directions. I'm using a rayon and I think I stretched it, too. I'll borrow your ideas and measure the neck opening and my head and I may make a bias strip. Thanks for reviewing this pattern posting your solution. Denny

Denny, I watched Loes demonstrate this method of turning the neck and she makes it look easy but find it way too much trouble. One thing Loes does (if it's not too late for you) is taper the seam allowances at the neck edge so they're less than 3/8" (I can't recall if she uses 3/8 or 1/2 on this top some TS are 1/2 but all LH are 3/8). That gives slightly more fabric to turn over.
