Snowblossom said... Gigi, thanks for this review. The day before it came out, I found a ready to wear blouse of a very similar design and thought, "eureka! this is the perfect style for my body type!". (a little too much on top, shall we say). It is very flattering. This pattern will definitely go into my collection. Usually, however, I prefer wovens to knits (don't know why). Kwik Sew 3062 is a pattern for wovens which looks similar (the sleeves are kind of poufy so I would change them).
I'll post a picture when I've sewn it (I am very slow sewer, so it may be a while). 7/24/03 2:59 AM

(I just saw on your website that it's the heathered pink. If I would have known it was such a nice color, I would have gotten it before it sold out... :-( Oh well, yours looks gorgeous) 6/6/05 2:53 PM

ryan's mom said... Beautiful top! Just a few questions though. Size 8, D-cup FBA on the front, right? Just wondering when you add a bust dart, before transferring it to the neckline, how wide is your dart? Books give guidelines, but it really helps me when I see a body or dress form in a given size with a specific amt. A top like this doesn't seem to lend itself to tissue fitting. 6/7/05 12:24 PM
Gigi Louis said... Ryan's mom, I added a 1" horizontal dart. I arrived at this amount through trial and error because, sadly, you can't tissue-fit knit tops. :-) 6/7/05 12:29 PM
