So pretty, I love this dress! I agree, it's so complicated the way Simplicity's "Project runway" has separate fabric requirements for each "element": bodice, skirt, sleeves, neckline..ugh, you can end up with extra fabric like you said.

The piping details are very nice. Agree with you to only sew what daughters want.

Somehow I missed this review when you posted it, but since I'm considering sewing up this pattern soon, I found your review to be VERY helpful--particularly in seeing where all of the seams are supposed to hit, which is difficult to tell from the line drawings.

that looks beautiful, and i would never have thought to use that fabric. The piping just makes it, i'm so glad i looked at this before starting mine, it is absolutely gorgeous!
