Curlysu717, I got my crinoline on ebay. As far as changing the skirt...i just cut 4 yards of fabric to skirt length, leaving seam and hem allowance, and gathered it. Pinned gathered edge to bodice, adjusting to fit, and stitched it on. Inserted zipper as normal.

How do you change the skirt to a gathered full skirt? And where can you buy crinolines these days?

I LOVE THIS, especially with your red crinoline. :o) Wonderful pairing of fabrics, color and fit!

OMGosh this is adorable! I'm a sucker for a 50s silhouette!! I use a highlighter on those patterns with multiple view instructions, and just highlight the instructions for the view I'm making in one color. Then if you make a different view, use a different color. That way you don't miss any!

How cute is that! Darling dress. I love the way you used the stretch lace with the print.

Your dress definitely has that '50s flair. It is absolutely darling and the addition of the crinoline with just a little red lace peeking out is so cute. Good luck on the wedding gown.

Your work paid off -- your alterations turned this into a very sexy 50's pouf look!
