The skirt was ankle length on me (5'3") but the really simple part is that to shorten it you just pull the skirt up to the length you want and then form the waistband. so essentially it can be any length you want!

Shame about the skirt not flattering you. How long did it turn out? I've been going back and forth on buying this pattern--I think I'll try out the little girls' version first.
