Wow, looks gorgeous! I just bought this pattern (and I love the black velvet you used!). What didn't you like about their hem so I can watch for it? Also, there is no thumbnail pic up, so many people may be missing your review.

the way that they say to hem the cloak would leave you with a chance of it not laying so nicely, kind of pillowing at the bottom. If you hem both the lining and the outer fabric separately there is no chance of this. This however proved to be a challenge when it comes to had hemming a stupid amount of velvet so as not to have the seam show.

I haven't tried it, yet but plan to. I did not want to use velvet Iwanted to try another material. I was going to use whatever caught my eye.
