I like the blouse on you - it is a little frilly, but a girl *needs* some frill once in a while! The rolled hems add a nice touch to the ruffles. If you make another version, I think you'd have no problem omitting the ruffle from the front.

I actually think it looks quite nice. Maybe its just not "you". I think fabric choice has something to do with how it turned out. The ruffled view might work a bit better in a drapier fabric, although if you make the mandarin collar version, that would work with a stiffer fabric so that the collar doesn't droop.
