Great job / great jacket! Thanks for the helpful and thorough review. I'm pretty sure you're not really a beginner anymore, though, if you can jump into making a jacket by telling yourself it's not much different from making a shirt with a collar stand. ;)

Love the collar a lot. And your fabric choice is great. Sewing in the lining is always slow for me but linings are great and this looks so well done.

You've done some pretty advanced work on the details of this pretty jacket, including hand sewing your lining, and your details are beautifully done. Your black and white striped wool is also a wonderful choice to showcase your details. Very nice work, here, and an excellent review, to boot. Lovely, Lily

Great looking jacket. I predict that before too long you'll be ready to promote yourself again. Incidentally you might want to get hold of a used copy of Cecilia Podolak's Easy Guide to Sewing Jackets which you can find on Amazon for about $5. It will teach you how to bag the lining, that is put it in quickly and easily by machine.
