How disappointing to make such a cute outfit and then give it away. Lucky friend. Pretty fabric and it does look nice on the dress form.

Sharon, I think the gapping in the back armhole might be caused by the bias fabric stretching. The extra long back armhole you describe could easily stretch an inch or more if it is not staystitched immediately after cutting. The instructions ought to tell you this, but sometimes they don't. Although bias clothing looks great in old movies or on models, it is not easy to wear well for most women. Designers who created bias-cut garments usually designed them for very slim straight figures, as the bias grain clings to rounded area of the body in a very revealing way. This is usually not good for women with curves.

Mini - thanks for the info on the gap on the back armhole...never even considered this. And yes, bias garments are so beautiful but do not work on my curvy figure...guess in the back of my mind I'm remembering how years ago bias cut looked so great on me, forgetting that I no longer weigh 105 lbs!
