Lisa, your top is very chic! I love the style and the fabric. I would love to see a photo on you! Please don't estimate the slimming effect of a narrow-shaped skirt on you. Make a test skirt out of muslin and try it on. Muslin is not expensive, you can rip out(you are a rip out expert now, ha-ha!) and reuse the zipper and you don't have to finish the muslin to decide if you like the style. Just sew the basic seams, back detail, zipper, stay stitch the waist and cut the hem at the hemline. That should be more than enough to test the look. A straight black skirt looks good on almost anyone if it fits properly.

Well, I think this top was well worth the extra time invested! (Easy for me to say -- ha!) I REALLY like that print, and I'm not usually a "print" person. This has GREAT personality and pizzazz though. I love it on its own, and can imagine it going very nicely under a jacket, too.
