Yes I believe so. The pattern does say that you can use both zipper styles for the vest and jacket.

I love your jacket! What was the width of the pre-cut Lycra binding compared to the pattern for making the binding from swimwear fabric? I have a KS pattern with a piece for making binding from swimwear fabric, and it is wider than most pre-cut binding I've seen. Could I get away with using a narrower binding?

My binding was roughly 3/4 the size of the pattern piece, but I don't think this made a difference to the look of the top.

Great job! I have this pattern and have done a couple of jackets from it. It is possible to use the long sleeves with the full length zipper. I have done it!
