A nice bright summery skirt. Liberty lawn wouldn't be a good choice because it's too fine. Skirts are better made in slightly heavier fabrics.

Beautiful skirt and it is flattering - you look really good in it. I know what you mean about trying to find just the right weight of cotton at Spotlight but there's the whole internet out there :)MOOhooohaha

What a pretty outfit! It looks great on you. Last summer's skirt is very nice also -- such a pretty print.

Really pretty, I love the fabric - it's very feminine and beautiful for this style.

Ah, well, perhaps something in-between $50 a yard fabric and very ightweight stuff would be better for you. It is certainly pretty. Try sewing something (horsehair, maybe) to the inside hem to give it more weight.

What a great skirt! I love how it twirls, too. :)

The floral fabric is so fresh! I almost wanted to break out into "the hills are alive .." when I saw the photo of you twirling to show the fullness in the skirt. Will be interested to see if you do make it in a finer cotton with more drape and see how it affects the overall look ..

Lovely skirt. It is flattering and the flare is so feminine. You're right in thinking a softer drapey fabric would be fabulous. Still a very nice skirt.
