This dress is perfect in every way and looks fantastic on you. I love the denim. I love the way you finished the inside, especially the slit.

I never would've thought to make this up in a denim, but it looks great! It's very flattering on you--I love it!

Amanda, I totally agree with the other comments made - your work is immaculate and you look so good! Can you please explain how you combined making the size 10 at the bust but 12 otherwise. Especially as how it impacts the sleeve and how you taper into the waist. I think that your adjustments are what I need to do for my figure too. Everything you sew that I have seen is inspiring me. It is just a matter of catching up with my other responsibilities but in the meantime I've been learning a lot so I'll be better prepared when the time soon arrives. Thank you for your meticulousness!

This is wonderful. I think a denim dress should be on the list of must haves, just like LBDs are. Or maybe that is my age showing..... Whatever, it is adorable on you.

That's what a demin dress ought to look like. You look great , the dress is beautiful and it certainly is the right thing for the shoes! Good for you!

Thanks, people!!! Hilary - no, not stretch denim, just the regular 100% cotton stuff. FYI: Butterick JUST came out with this exact same design as a $2.99 See&Sew pattern. It's 5268.

Denim was an awesome choice for this dress. The plain fabric really calls attention to the detailing, and you did a great job.
