I love the piping! I don't quite understand how the blind hem foot works - does one side of it ride over the top of the piping cord? Maybe I'll just have to try it to see.

Your did a great job on piping. I love piping, I think it is a great way to make clothes look RTW, but alsoto bring out colors, emphasis style lines, etc. Have I done any?? No, not yet, but I do like it and will try it sometime in the future.

Those do fit you _really_ nicely, especially in the back, as you note. I'm 5'1" and hourglass/hip-heavy -- not yet pregnant, but very helpful to see how maternity clothes can be made to fit. Well done! (Funny to hear you talking about spring as we're sliding into winter in the U.S. ...)

Mandolin... The blind hem foot has a kind of fence which you can slide along the very edge of the piping as you stitch, and this keeps the piping even. Because I couldn't see the piping when it was sandwiched in between two layers of fabric I had my fingernail doing the same thing in front of the presser foot so I could guide it in. (Have a play & you'll see what I mean.)

I love your shirts - not too "balloon-like" and stylish too! The piping is a great touch.

Both tops look really nice, and the piping does give it that extra touch. Great job!!

That piping accent looks great Mel. And the fit is very flattering for maternity wear! You're right about the back looking good while still providing room for the tum. So many of those RTWs are just bags. :) Hope the remainder of your pregnancy goes smoothly!

You look so nice in these tops. The piping really makes the style look "designer".
