hey, very cool, I have a lot of cotton sitting arond begging to be turned into a handbag. One question. When you attached the tabs and handle, did you match the raw edges of the tabs and the top of the purse (i.e., so the tab and handle hang down and away from the raw edge as you sew)? Or, is the raw edge in the seam allowance, and the tab up as you sew? thx for the cute project idea....

Katy, I matched the raw edges of the tabs to the top of the bag (hanging down). They're sandwiched between the bag & lining. Hope that helps!

yes, perfect, thx. That's how I imagined it, but sometimes wrapping my head around the geometry is a challenge. It's an adorable bag, and I am happy to know about your blog!
