What a great review! :o) I had a blast reading it, following along through EACH STEP. The fabric may have been a bear to work with, but it sure LOOKS nice! I know exactly what you mean, though, about the edges just disintegrating before your very eyes. I've dealt with some of the same myself. A Christmas dress is a GREAT idea! Your sister is so CUTE. :o)

Very entertaining review to read before going to bed! :-) You are a very kind sister to sew all those tops for your pregnant little sister! By the way she looks super nice in this one, and even if this was a disintegrating fabric sent from sewing hell, nothing shows, it looks really well done!

I am still laughing at your description of this fabric - thanks for the warning - I had been looking at it with ideas - no more!! Your sister looks adorable in this top - I think you both are having a lot of fun with this!!

Can you believe I once bought that exact same fabric in New Zealand, thinking it was Missoni-like too? This was about three years ago and this fabric was the DEVIL itself. The top (KS2694) ended up in the bin and was a ravelly mess. You have done very well! This top is a favourite of mine.

I really enjoyed your review~I'm sure many of us can relate to your fabric issues! I laughed when I read the line about 'spending to save money....' How true is that? This is such a BEAUTIFUL dress, I KNOW your sister will want to wear it long after she's had the baby. I bet she can, too, because this has such a beautiful drape to it. PERFECT! LUCKY SISTER!
