Here's a hint that sounds kind of gross but works --if you poke your finger and get blood on your garment, try a bit of your saliva--the protein in it or something will take away the stain. I've had it work lots of times. Then just rinse or wipe with a cloth dipped in water if your material permits. You might try it in a seam, first, if your fabric might show marks.
