I made a bunch of slippers for this year's Christmas. I love the ease....cut out multiples and the sewing went speedy.

I made some of these for gifts & like this pattern too. I found some "grippy" fabric at Joann's & used on the bottoms.

If there is no fabric softener residue on the socks, you can paint the soles with fabric paint. You don't need to actually cover the whole soles. Paint letters, squiggles, or a design on one sole, press the soles together, separate them, and let them dry a day or two. This will give them an anti-skid surface.
