i was thinking the fabric was working well where it came together. its not matched, but the pattern moves well. nice dress.

It seems strange to me that they would recommend "soft knits" along with woven fabric - the ease needed for the wovens would make the dress seem all wrong in a knit. I suspect that is why you are not satisfied. However, the dress looks fabulous on you. If you do make it in a woven, don't leave out the zipper!

It's a shame that you don't seem totally enamoured with this dress because, in your photo, you look an absolute knock-out. I was immediately drawn to the print of the fabric which I think looks stunning. It actually looks like the placement of the swirls has been planned. Please give it another go with a drapey woven because I think this style suits you very well. You look great!

Oh thanks! It does look fabulous. I am planning to make it as a knit top, and I was wondering if I could omit the zipper. Yippee!

Very pretty dress! You did a nice job. The fabric reminds me of Tiffany glass. I'm also admiring your duct tape "dummy". Is there any chance you plan to share that creative project with the rest of us? I hope so.

I was thinking of making this dress in silk charmeuse. You look fab in the dress but as you say it's a mediocre pattern now I'm not sure! My husband wants me to make something a bit more racey :-)

I agree with the others. This dress looks really good on you. I like the fabric and the cut. I just bought this pattern and I sat down with the guide sheet to go over it before I cut everything out (I'm using a lightweight knit) and decided to see if anyone had reviewed it. Thanks for your input!
