Great review! I usually don't even bother with pants patterns in the Big 4 since the draft is so odd, but I might give this one a chance based on your review. BTW - the quirky pocket is probably from stretching while ripping/re-doing. I've had that happen with moleskin - it doesn't recover well from this even with pressing. Cotton you can re-press into shape, moleskin - no. Good luck with the next pair!

what exactly is the Betzina method for installing the fly? i'm making this pattern right now, and I'm apprehensive about all the extra bulk too...

Thanks for the tip about Sandra Betzina's method for eliminating bulk at the zipper. I'm working on these pants now!
