Absolutely gorgeous! The gown in your picture is not too short at all, in fact, a period gown would be a little longer than ankle length, in order to show off the expensive shoes they wore. Another hint, on my pocket hoops, I went to the hardware store and bought the longest plastic cable zip ties I could find, cut them to length and inserted those in the tunnels. Sometimes I find rigiline to be too weak for the weight on the skirts and the hoops would collapse.

The picture does not show the gown. This picture shows chemise, stays, pocket hoops, and petticoats. There is a picture showing the gown in my review of Simplicity 3637. I base my statement that the gown is too short in front on the way the hem hangs and the way the skirt attached to the dress. I assumed that more formal gowns were meant to sweep the floor even if daywear did not. This may be a faulty assumption.
