Skymom said... Donna, this is a little off topic, but I wondered if Joyce Dunn is the proprietor of Buttons and Bolts in Tucson? If so, I know her from many moons ago, when she had a store by the same name in Massachusetts. In fact, in my stash, I still have some striped mohair-like knit fabric that I bought there when I was in high school. Now that I'm not 16 anymore (and it's not the 70s--please don't anyone work out the math here!), I don't quite know what to do with that fabric.
Back on topic: your dress is really pretty--it does look fresh and cool. Enjoy! 10/28/03 2:43 PM
Donna Isler said... Thank you both. Skymom, Joyce Dunn is indeed the proprieto of BnB in Tucson. I had to check the newsletter she sends to be sure! Nice lady - she will be delighted to hear you remember her. 10/28/03 3:35 PM

Skymom said... I'm so glad to hear that Joyce Dunn ("Mrs. Dunn" to me back then!) is still running the store. I have fond memories of clothes I made from fabric I bought at her MA store, and when she moved to AZ, we were left with nothing. I'm happy for you that you get to patronize her store, but a bit envious, too! 10/29/03 11:54 AM
