Beautiful garment and fitting (& outfit) and you look great in it! About the topstitching - 1) What kind of thread did you use? 2) Can you please explain more about when exactly you topstitched the waistband? Thanks for your review.

Oh! I used embroidery thread for the topstitching. As for the waistband, it is a two piece design, with the outer side sewn to the skirt first and the inner attached second. So, I attached the front piece to the skirt, the back waistband to the front waistband, and did all topstitching before I slipstitched the back waistband to the skirt.

this is utterly fantastic Amanda. This is exactly like a Nanette Lapore navy skirt that i've been dying to copy with the topstitching. Wonderful workmanship.

You are such a beautiful seamstress!!! I am jealous. I've noticed you use a lot of bias tape. It always looks amazing, but if you make french seams why do you need the bias tape? I am a new member and just put you as a favorite reviewer. Everything you've made is fabulous.
