Judy Williment said... I made this for my second child in the newborn size. She weighed 7lbs 12oz, and it fit her for a few weeks. It fit my 8lb 13oz son for about 5 minutes! The proportions and sizing are very good, as long as you pick the right size. I always made or bought a few tiny sized things because even though the babies grow out of them quickly, I liked them to have some things that fitted, rather than only HUGE things (which they quickly grow into though!) 11/7/03 4:33 PM

I'm about to sew a similar KS pattern for my 4-month-old and was wondering where to get some good hardware. Pattern sizing for babies and children is still sort of a mystery to me. Everything seems to turn out too large (or maybe my children are small?). If I get around to reviewing the pattern, I'll let you know how it fits. 11/8/03 6:59 PM

My first batch of grandchildren (age 5 and 18 mos) are too old for this pattern, but someday, we hope our other children will reproduce! Isn't it fun to sew for the little ones? 11/8/03 10:18 PM
