What a nice outfit! You did a terrific job on the jeans, they are very stylish and appear to fit very well. I usually use a fusible stay tape (like DesignPlus) or cut strips of fusible interfacing to stabilize shoulder seams, and iron them on to the seam before sewing. On occasion, I might use twill tape or fabric selvedge instead, and then WashAway Wondertape is good for holding them in place while stitching. Congrats - you now have a couple of 'TNT' basic patterns!
